You made the right choice, good to hear!
I would say part it out if you have the time, you'll definitely get more money back that way.

its hard to sell a modded car and get any money back for the mods, unless you happen to find the right buyer.
plus with your mods it doesnt sound like it will pass a smog test so that will make people not want to buy it too.
just a few things to think of...
id part it out if possible

Although it would take a lot more time, parting it out and trading your aftermarket parts+cash would be best. Do you have any other car for daily driving?

part it out...do trades/$ for stock parts. What you can't part out leave on.

You're basically gonna get about 10-20% of your money back IF..IF you find the right buyer to buy your car whole. If you part it out you'll see more like 50-65%

If you need help with anything let me know. I'd be down to crawl around and help out if time provides. I've had enough help with my ****.

your gonna be bummed when you first get the sti.....gonna be slower than what you have now and not handle as well.

But with some tweaks you'll be back to where your at. Hopefully your not going through all this for an 04/05 sti....

Although the his setup will have way higher numbers than a stock STi, I guarantee he'll like the low end power much more and the 6th gear.

nothing...my wagon is an 04.

Just seems odd to put so much work into a wrx to make it like an sti then turn around and sell it and by the same year sti. Then start all over again.

Specially when I've seen 07 sti's with under 10k on them go for decent prices.
I'd go with an 07 myself..or even an 06.

I know when my wagon goes I'm either gonna go nuts with an old school or get a brand new one.
