I need help now

I put my stock airbox back on to go get smogged and now I have thrown a CEL, I have no idea what to do and I need to get smogged today or tomorrow.

jus d/c the battery and step on the brake pedal then reconnect the battery about a minute later

Does the car run fine? I'd also check the MAF plug that it's clicked in right, and that the MAF is installed the right way around.

My car doesnt have a MAF, it is MAP. The car runs fine, Im really annoyed this happened basically right as I pulled into the smog place.

what year is the car? if it's obdII, you may have to put a bunch of miles on it after the reset for all the ecu self tests to run.

Its an MY00 RS, I just reset the ECU and the CEL is still there.

It probably is Karma getting me back.

Goto an autostore and get the cel code pulled so we can more easily determine the problem.

And tighten your gas cap.

why not?

You should be able to goto autozone and have them pull a code for you.
