You ignore him and say "It's OK for you to believe that" and not want to punch him in the face?
Offensive is offensive and this guy was not offending just me but also the people in our immediate 8 foot radius... He was so happy about it too, made it so much worse. FWIW, he wasn't even white... Looked to be half middle-eastern and half light-hispanic... So I dunno if that makes it any better.

For all I know it could be some unstable person that has a shank, gun, on pcp or Fourlocos ready to **** some **** up.

The first humans originated in Africa and had black skin because it protected them from the sun. As humans migrated north those with lighter skin were more successful. The reason for this is that there is less sun light farther north and the threat from the sun is minimal. Also, those with darker skin and can not create enough vitamin d in low sunlight habits. This causes themsleves and their children to develop vitamin d deficiencies, which causes them to not be as reproductively successful as those with light skin. Due to this light skin evolved.
The reason dark skin is more benfitical today is because those with light skin are 10 times more likely to develop skin cancer. That along with the supplements with vitamin D and with a lot of our food containing vitamin D there is no advantageous to light skin in terms of reporductive success.

Man, tough crowd on here tonight with the whole God and skin color thing. Let's just leave it as dude has an extreme view on humans and should be careful not to say it when he may not be safe. I really doubt he would say that to a person of a different race/ethnicity to their face. He'd probably catch one in the mouth.
