Think I'll try and dial in some negative camber this weekend to make my drive to fremont safer. It's about 50 miles so I really don't want to catch on fire.

They do my car I have never had any problems
They get the big thumbs down from me. Don't think they'll be touching my car again anytime soon. I drove the friggin like 60 miles out there with an unsafe handling car. Got there. Took them like an hour plus to mount/balance my tires. Got my car on the rack at like 5:30 maybe. They told me they'd do my specs and albert said to head outside so I did. The tech was so busy being pissed off and in a ****ty mood that he didn't ask anything. I told them specifically what I wanted.

I got back the worst specs I have EVER gotten from an alignment company.

Talking -.9 on one side in the front and +.6 on the other. The rear is much the same. I'm showing yellow and red on every setting.

The dude basically rushed through it. Made sure it hit within manufacturer specs and dropped it off the lift as soon as I walked back inside to talk to albert about wtf was going on.

It was pushing 6:45.. they close at 6. Tech was pissed and being lazy and my car has a ****ty alignment because of this. I then read through the specs this morning and read that they used the non wrx imprezza wagon specs as a starting point.

So now I'm gonna have to pray to god that I can talk a local Firestone in to doing my alignment as I want it or face the fact that I spent $211 on a ****ty alignment and a tire mount that I'm going to have to look over tonight to make sure they did correctly. Tires were worn slightly different so I wanted the 2 newer ones in the front.

needless to say my experience with firestone and the one in fremont leads me to tell folks...

Go to AI or Roger Kraus as its obvious most folks just don't give a **** about your car.

little pissed.

I don't think it was Albert as much as it was the tech. The guy just seemed like he was pissed off at having to stay late and having a hard time with my car. He just kind of tried to get it reasonable and get out. The average person would take it at its word and assume it was good but its not. I can post full specs tomorrow.

Only mistake that Albert made was saying they could give me custom specs. Then telling me to head out to check it out then not communicating with his tech. But I'd say in a management position that's a pretty big mistake.

Hell the specs are crappy for stock spec.

I called ahead and the machine was down and a tech was there. They told me to wait an hour and call back. So I did. Then I headed out there. I called 3 different times and once specifically to say you're sure they'd be able to handle my arrival time. All was fine.

I can only hope that a local Firestone will give me a custom alignment or I'll be forced to head back out to Newark and not be so nice next time and make them get it right before they go home.

I mean at least make one side match the other. Not positive camber on one side and negative on the other. WTF>

damn that sucks. I guess morning appointments are the way to go as far as dealing with a company that could care less about driving and people not giving a F and wanting to go home.

i've been to AI once, nothing better than getting an alignment next to a race car...civic haha.

Yeah I had a Firestone tech snap one of the camber bolts on top of my Tein coilover on Saturday when he was adjusting the camber.

That really sucks what you and your car had to go through. I was hoping to hear that things went well cus of the price. I guess the saying of you get what you pay for really is true in the end. I went to AI when I had my springs and camber bolts installed and also got the alignment done there as well. They did a good job on my car. Again sorry to hear the trouble you went through.

Not really... alignments are more expensive at firestone and a few other places I've gone and AI is the best.

I just wish they were local for me.

so in this case the cheaper place is the better place.
