Angry i hate road debris!

just had to vent. ate a piece of scrap metal head on, that popped out from the car under the car in front of me. chipped a corner off my V1 lip that was painted and installed last weekend. with my luck, i've gone through 2 bumpers, and now a lip. back in the market, again, for my 4th setup in a year.
i wonder if gruppe-s's JUN replica is any good, i really miss my old authentic JUN.

I feel ya too. Last week, I was driving on 880N from Santana Row, and a piece of particle board flew up off the freeway and stuck IN the hoodscoop. It stayed there for a good couple miles until I got to a stoplight on an offramp. Left a small scrape in the hoop near the scoop, but nothing super bad.

What are the odds?

Anyhow, just know that you aren't alone in your hate for road debris.

Yeah... The other day one of those trucks that pick up the plant piles off the side of the road cut me off onto a high way exit. I was stuck behind him, and his truck was tossing tree branches, leaves and mowed grass at me. I was pertty annoyed. >_>

i was actually able to sculpt back that chipped off corner... using dry wall spackle (it's easier to get a hold of than bondo, as an architect ). gonna coat it with touch up paint and hopes that it holds up against water

I got hit with a small piece of metal debris thrown up on the freeway, put several deep scraches in my hood and ended up in my hoodscoop and dented the intercooler.

good luck with the architectual bondo job.

I am not a big fan of road crap either. People need to be a bit more aware of thsoe around them and pay attention to the crap in their trucks. Couple weeks ago I had a lanscaping truck cut in front of me and nail me with some rocks. One of which cracked my windshield.

I had an entire sheet of drywall fly off a truck under a semi truck and straight up in the air like a giant kite in front of me...still not sure how I avoided that one. a bed...twice. a full piece of press board plywood...4x8 sheet. Nailed the car just in front of me. etc etc etc.

And I'm sure kellie could add to this thread.

and who was it that ran over the rear axle? Center dif and everything? might have been someone I know off the board...can't remember.

Two months ago I ran over a strip of metal that was very thin,, which was enough to tear off the plastic piece under the bumper and wedge it imbetween my wheel and the front of the wheelwell. It was on 880

I've run over a driveshaft that some car ran over and sent into my lane. It was a huge downpour, so swerving was out of the question.

My integra was hit by something that shot over and tore apart my drivers side door. I never saw it, just heard it. It ripped the door so you could reach your hand inside....scary
