My job sux. Get over worked and little pay. When things go wrong...management blames the peons(me) for their mistakes....damn i hate corporate america.

Yes! Been doin it for a year now... Some kids are cool, others you just want to give to Freddie so theyre never seen again... Too bad they go by age and not height requirement, otherwise Orlando could go play girltalk with 5th grade girls...

 

Actually we use LOTS of Lucent - My boss does the hiring though, I'll ask.

I was in the same boat.
I was a network admin, then went on to work for eEye as a BSD/Solaris digital security development engineer.

After a year of unemployment following that, I got a job with JIC USA, and I'm with South Coast Subaru now, and I don't think I'll ever look back to working with computers/networking.

It was be extra tough for you though, living up there amidst everything that's been going on with the economy in that field.

 

ROTFLMAO! Well, I dont hate my job (at the moment), but the guy down the hall from my office REALLY hates his right now! LMAO! I can hear him yelling at his computer, beating it with random stuff. he he he....just thought I'd share that with you all!

i can't blame you, i'm beginning to think that i'd be much better off doing something else for a living. the bad news is that to make enough $$$ to live in the Bay Area, you have to do something in the hi-tech industry -- and i don't really feel like moving.

the company i work for sucks

I get shipped out to Denver (Cool @$$ city) then i get worked overtime like majorly (no time to have fun downtown) then *** the weekend comes you know the 4th i get my plane ticket for a 4th of july flight

thank you very much nothing like getting over worked and having major jet lag........all i did was sleep on the 4th

 

i had to be in the office on Christmas day this past year, it interrupted Christmas dinner. at my office, nothing is sacred. i've been caled while showering, at the gym...you name it and i've been called while doing it.

then there are the 18 hour days when i have to travel, and of course i don't get overtime because i'm salaried.

if it makes you feel any better, i was in the office yesterday too.

 

um have they ever called you in the back of a cab after picking up a man ***** on the lower east side while he was killing a kitten in front of you so that hte taxi driver could get his rocks off?

 

you got it bad but hey atleast we get paid.........BTW ill never take a salary if i except that i might aswell except the ball and chain aswell.......you so know what i mean!!!!!!!!!
