ive been here for 19 years and i actually feel its one of the safest cities ive been in =/.. i live in north fremont(i dont park in garage) and travel all over and park in fremont everyday. i cant think of any of the people i know in fremont that got cars busted into either in fremont~ =/ maybe unlucky incident?.. im really sorry about your car =(

oh yea and sometimes cops can be a pita.. sometimes i feel like they are trying their best to hunt you down for stupid ****, but they dont really care about helping the needy.

i lived in fremont for 15 years, the worst thing that ever happened in my neighborhood was when a bunch of kids were bored and slashed one tire on every car on my street for like 3 blocks.... and nothing even happened to my house, cause none of us park on the street... haha

yes i take it back, now that i think of it there are some nice houses in the niles district. i guess i was being judgmental since a had a few frens that lived there and their houses were straight up ghetto.

I used to live in fremont, and the worst that i've ever seen happen is some guys from MSJ smoking pot and throwing a rock through my neighbor's window.

I didn't there there was a bad part to fremont. The Niles area has got to be one of the quietest places in Fremont. Nothing but a bunch of anitique shops. The only thing I could think is that my brother almost got shot in the face with a paint ball gun somewhere in the Niles area. He was just driving home from his fiance's house with his passenger window down (his fiance left it un rolled) and some punk kinds thought it would be cool to take a shot at him. Luckily the paintball just flew past his face and hit his window.

But I must say, I'm sorry to hear that your car got jacked.

I live in the Niles Crest area... and I only worry when the neighborhood kids start looking bored =). Overall great experience here, though.

I rented in a richy-richy unincorporated area near Woodside, CA, and I had my bicycle stolen from my front yard. The neighbor's house got burglarized, so it happens everywhere. The fireman up the street is always making racket, lighting of fireworks he's confiscated, and riding his dirt bikes/ quads around.
