It's insane! It's the only car out there that does this! Even my girlfriend knows about them and she's so new to cars that she doesn't know where porsche is made!

She'll be like "Hey babe... It's one of those Neons that tries to race you all the time". And I just roll my eyes.

Today I did a lot of driving (went from Fremont all the way to santa cruz, back, and then a lot of driving in SJ)


What's with these guys? I'm in my Stock looking 06 WRX, wingless, borla hush, with P1 wheels.

You know whats funny? They don't like to be called "Neons". They are in neon denial. They prefer to be called "SRT-4s" only. They get insulted when you call them a neon.

Do you think those Neons come equipped with a "Rev" button, or do their feet just spasm like that... all the time?

 

haha i think they feel since they come fron the factory with what, i think 240hp, 250tq or somethin like that, that they can just roll up to anyone and walk em. yes they are pretty quick im not gonna lie, stock 1/4 mile times arent bad either. the drivers just get to cocky and think they can just mash out on anything. i had one going probably 85+ on the freeway (i saw him comiing up on me from behind) and passed me up and about 5-10 car lengths ahead hit his brakes to slow to get next to me. then he proceeded to rev twice to sound off his HKS ssq, then he sped off. my co-workers boyfriend also has an srt4, she said she kinda wanted one, but i told her "naww get a suby, and tell him its because i have one and you feel as though they are superior machines!" haha.

 

haha, yes srt-4's love us subie people, i always encounter them and evo's, i never give them the satisfaction of actually racing me, im in a freakin wagon for crying out loud lol.

 

Damn I would of thought maybe 2-3 but all 7 you encountered is just insane. My gf knows about that car too its really sad because she could careless about cars.

My all time favorite experience with one was when he he stopped in front of the intersection to stare me down and burnout.

Also one time I was on way to Sonics and I got stuck in between 20 of them I think they were having a meet. That was fun...
