Talking I guess JIC Ti is not ok for street?

So on the way to a Sacramento location I finally got pulled over.
I saw the police man when I turned right in front of him. I run up to 2 stop lights... I'm listening to my plate get run and him calling out the "street racer" stop.

I pull over a quick as I can being safe for him and me.
Roll both front windows down.
Turn car off
Hands on steering wheel.
Smile on face.

(C) Do you know what I pulled you over for?
(m) No sir
(C) Well I heard you 4 blocks before I saw you. You have a illegal exhaust on your car.
(m) Oh, I was not aware.
(C) Did you know that California has a new law that anything other then OEM is illegal.
(m) No I was not aware sir
(C) Do you have your lic
(m) Yes, I am going to reach to the center console to get that for you.
(C) OK
(m) Here you go
(C) Ok well I have to run now. Have a nice day. B.T.W. Whats up with your AZ lic and Ca. lic plates....
(m) I'm a dual resident.
(C) ok....
<drives off code 3>

Wow.... So I'm surprised at the misconception of the exhaust law. I also am sure he didnt know I was listening to his radio chatter about it. And that I knew he was fishing for my neon lights and NOS bottle.

But a nice calm pleasent time was had by all and resulted in no ticket.

You can get a police band scanner at Radio Shack. At least that's where we got ours

The Radio Shack ones are significantly cheaper. I think ours was about $150. Well worth it IMHO.
