That's a good point. Might not be a good idea to advertise that there might be guns in the car. Especially if you get pulled over by a nervous cop who's one of those "just trying to make it home to see my wife/kids/dog" types. He might just panic and blow your head off when you reach into the glovebox for your papers.

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.

They'd probably toss your car for PC. That alone is why I don't have any Firearms related stickers on my car. I don't want any cops in my car. (unless they are off duty passengers etc)
As far as Fail proof I thought you were going to say that SAC passed a stand your ground law and Shall issue CCW. But then I remembered where I was..

but what do cops think about this idea? i guess they too would be afraid.

You know I always thought it interesting that us civilians and current serviceman have this deep fascination with the power of firearms.
But then when you are checking through viet/WWII/korea vet interviews a lot of them are like "man I don't want to touch a gun ever again after I had to shoot that dude five times before he went down and stab him in the eye with my bayonet cause he still tried to crawl towards me. And then I was searching him and found a picture of his wife and kids in his wallet"
Not trying to make any sort of statement here - I love guns. Just the observation.

Those folks have an irrational reaction to certain items or situations. As a service member the gun is a tool I use to get a job done( or in my case protect me while I'm doing said job). As a civilian I realize that being armed and proficient is a basic responsibility that comes along with US citizenship, (not to mention the inherent god given right to defend myself and family with the best tools available.) Sorry if this seems preachy, I'm off to the range.

In regards to the police officer thing... You'd be surprised as to how little cops care about the lic plate or stickers. They know that people who lawfully own a firearm are responsible owers, they figure that if you're going to have those stickers on your car you're not dumb enough to have illegal guns, or even intend on using the gun other that for something legal like target shooting. Cops deal with A LOT of idiots, especially here in the bay area, they know how people operate for the most part and know... If you like guns as much as I do, to the point of owning a website dedicated to them and having a lic plate and stickers, they know I'm not going to do something stupid and face losing my rights and never being able to own a gun again. Yes, every time I get pulled over they always ask if I have any weapons in the car to which I reply "no"... but they asked me this even before the lic plate and stickers. So all in all, cops don't really care as much as you guys think they do. I've been pulled over 3 times since the plates and stickers and each time no one said anything about the plates, they did everything by the book and standard.
You know that most cops are pro-gun for law abiding citizens, they say that the guns save lives from intruders and such when the cops aren't there so I think they are happy when they see pro-gun stuff on someone.

Dude you are telling me I should be more afraid of getting killed by a cop for having a gun related sticker on my car??????
uhhh.........theres a huge problem with that man...............do you see it?? I do.
I'm suppose to be afraid of a cop because I want to keep myself safe?
If a cop does that, he deserves to be shot on sight.
So should I carry a gun to protect myself (assuming it were legal), or leave it at home incase a cop gets scared and shoots me????
I think you are letting one worry that is not likely to happen override a much more likely scenario. Don't be a worrier.......or a dummy
I don't think they suspect you have a concealed weapon in the car because you have a sticker.
Like hes going to freak out, see you really don't have a gun and still shoot you? i dont understand

Don't get me wrong I'm not worried about some cop panicking and shooting me when I reach into my glove box. (I keep reg + insurance in my visor) Not that it hasn't happened. I worry more about the guy that has had a bad day and "finds" something, or just decides to make my life hell.

Yeah but the stickers take an element of surprise away and a potential wrong-doer knows they need a gun to compete. Let them get out of the car, get almost to your window then they here the racking of an HK .45 slide and suddenly, they realize maybe they didn't make the best decision.
