I fixed my laptop WOOOOOT!

Took it all apart, cleaned and blew out all the connections, put back together, works now.

Now somehow I've convinced myself that since I've SAVED $2000 from buying a new laptop, that I can spend that $2k on something else.

hmmmm

can you say:

Baby Pizza: "Daddy, why can't I got to college?"
Dr. Pizza: "Because we have no money"
Baby Pizza: "Why not?"
Dr. Pizza: "Well, when you were born, daddy went out and bought a digital camera, instead of starting a college fund for you."
Baby Pizza: "Daddy, won't the government help me?"
Dr. Pizza: "No, because daddy also voted Republican."

I had a Sony FM707, and, although it took great pictures with that Zeiss lens, it was a POS and it kept breaking.

From DPReview: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydscf828/page21.asp
Where the F828 starts to disappoint is image quality, many observers had concerns about the very small pixel pitch of the camera's eight million pixel sensor knowing that it would most likely lead to noisier images but what we weren't prepared for were chromatic aberrations. This came as a surprise especially considering the F828's lens carries not only the Carl Zeiss name but also the 'T*' notation indicating the use of special lens coatings. So in reality the F828's biggest issue becomes chromatic aberrations, with noise a second place.
