Ya for me, i finally learned to drive my Wrx.
Last night at Infineon raceway i got my 60ft down to a 1.78
Too bad i broke out and lost the first round.....
We need more Wrx's to come out on wed. nights, there were way too many ricers there, the balance was way out of wack!!
In other news, i think i might be needing a new clutch sooner than i had hoped.....

maybe it is juts me, but i have a hard time getting my car quickly to 3000 rpms in 1st. i am not into driving my car hella hard from a dead start, but was wondering if this has to do with car's weight / AWD.

congrats! However, Not to crap on your parade....but if you burnt out your clutch in ONE night at the track....I'd say you still need some practice.....but sounds like you have a really good start... 1.78
nice....good job. Keep up the good work.....may you launch strong and swiftly

There is a misconception goin on here. What you are describing is not lag.
Lag is the amount of time it takes to obtain boost while in a boos range aka...above the turbo threshold. When below 3k you are below threshold not lagging....

i understand the non-turbo zone, but there is still an potimal way to maximize low-end power to the wheels. i always thought i was good at driving manuals until I tried pushing my car a bit off the line.
conversely, my girlfriend has a 1.8T Jetta and that thing hauls bootie off the line (but of course I can smoke it after about 10 ft!!)
