If they were tucked into the wheel wells more... It might look better.
I think he tried to go over the top with this one though.
It doesn't look good at all.

I love the flush/hellaflush look but not on every car/setup. Its safe to say, that VW isn't in its final fitment, looks more like they were just put on. I really hate the high sidewall tire stretching, kinda like this one has. Tires begin to look like doughnuts or balloons.

That's the worst I've seen, but I'm still reluctant to make any sort of generalizations, because I've seen plenty of Subarus with similarly-useless setups. If anything I'm more bothered by the Subarus because they are supposed to be fast (or at the least drivable) and for what it's worth the style originated with the VWs.

tie rods, ball joint, new front lower control arms, short shifter and Prothane total poly kit just got here, will go in next week when the vented rotors and hawk pads, neuspeed STB and 4-point subfframe brace come in. Still trying to decide whether to run konis on the Neuspeed springs i already have or just get coilovers. Oh and I just ordered some 8lb and 2lb TPF so I can foam all the rails and pillars
At this rate wheels will be the last thing I get lol

I've kind of done the hella flush look/scene. I do like it , think it looks good i was running a 18x9+35 with a 235/40 tire that had a very slight stretch , it was on my wagon which i have sedan front and pulled/rolled rears. I personally think it looks good while parked and if you do it right it wont rub and also looks good while rolling. I also now have a set of 18x8+45 standard fitment rpf1 on my wagon. It's to each their own i wouldn't mind have a set of 18x9.5+30-35 for shows or to "stunt" and having my RPF1 as my DD , spirited driving rims.

nice!
I had koni's + neuspeeds. If you're not looking for major drop, then I suggest just the koni's and if you really wanna slam it, then ground control coil springs a full coilover kit.
Also, the C5 rims look good imo, just the fitment is ****.
