orter-

Thanks for the explaination of how a custom turbo is built. I thought that a shop actually had to start by mining the iron ore. Then the next step would be to separate the ore and make Steel. This is the only way a manufacturer can make certain that all their ingredients are to spec and that their customers only get the finest quality steel and iron.

After that they have to pour the different spec iron and steel into their custom castings that they have for every turbo out there (isnt it weird that some of the casting have letters stamped in them like GARRETT, IHI, and this symbol with 3 diamonds? not too sure that that means but i guess it just the shops way of identifying them, who knows). They have to so the same witht he wheels, the bearings, shafts and all other metal parts.

Any way after the castings are created and cooled then they have to start to work on the plastic and rubber components. This is equally as difficult as the shops (the real ones anyways) have to have large plantations of rubber trees. They have to harvest the rubber (much like maple syrup) and then start the process of turning it into plastics and rubber components. A lot of technology goes into this and man, its a big deal

So now we have all the metal and rubber/plastic companents custom made at the shops its assembly time. Make sure you have all the parts layed out on a table. Click your heels twice and spin around backwards while saying the model number of the turbo. Hold your breath for 10 five second periods and then pat your head twice (you have to make sure you have a hat on backwards during this process). If you are lucky and you ate your wheaties, the turbo should be assembled right there in front of you. See my problem is that I know for a fact that DB eat rice krispies and not wheaties booooo.

LMAO! That was so well written! HAHAHHAH Made me crack up. Thanks.

Thanks I had fun writing it for sure.

If you see the thread he starts by expaining how a "custom turbo" is built. I was just going to give him some smart *** remark but I figured I could do it with a little more flare!!!

Wheaties FTW!
