Working CP's will be 20 minutes out in the middle of nowhere, but breaks are at Tomales (you have to use the bathroom at the park, as none of the stores or deli's have public restrooms).
And then Occidental, which is pretty much visitor friendly.

If I expected anyone to drive the thing really tight, that would be an appropriate title, but the fact is that between sharing the road with other traffic, dealing with twisty, turny, hilly roads and not knowing where the checkpoints are, nobody is going to be able to rely on cruise control, and I think the scores are going to be a lot higher than people like you are anticipating.
If it was possible to set the cruise control and enjoy the scenery going by, I wouldn't want to do it either, but there is a challenge involved and it's not just "for slow *** people" as others might have suggested.
On default settings, a couple of different "driving direction programs" chart this route out to average about 30 mph, some of it because of driving through little towns, but mostly because the roads are tight little two lanes that aren't safe to travel a whole lot faster.
What's in a title anyway?

I said it before and i'll say it again. It's quite callenging running these rallies. Not to mention very fun.
I also find it funny that all these guys that want to run fast don't ever show up to our other drives. Where they don't have the slightest idea how FAST we run. I'd like to see them try and keep up.

One thing I like to point out- if you have aspirations to do performance rallying, you need to know this TSD stuff.
yes, the stages are run flat out, but the transits aren't- and you get "road points" which equal penalty time for coming into ATC or MTC either late or early- I've seen more than a few really good performance rallyists screw up on a transit and drop several positions because they didn't have their sh** together on transits.
"Real Rallys" might not get won by driving "on time" but they can be lost by not being "on time"
And besides, who has their car stripped caged and suspended for rally racing? on this board the only one I know is platypus.
As far as I'm concerned, the rest of these posers have no ground to stand on when they talk trash about any kind of rallying, they simply don't have a clue.
See you guys at the doughnut shop!
