Apparently your reading skills aren't very good. I wasn't talking crap about the giants, I was talking crap about the majority of the fans. The bandwagon jumpers. The giants are a good team, and they will have a very difficult time trying to beat Texas who is doing everything right at the moment.

One team is all about the bat, the other team is all about arm. Giant's offense needs to rev it up.

^There are no "bandwagon" phillies fans, the entire town is WAY too "passionate" and care WAY too much about "rivalries" for anybody to not love the phils

....on a serious note tho, it was a GREAT series and props to the Phils for helping the Giants torture their fans.

There are easily way more bandwagon giants fans than phillies fans. Most of the phillies fans can name everyone on the giants team. Most of the giants fans can't name more than 3 of their own. Most people can only refer to Brian Wilson as the beard guy. That's just sad they have to wait for the post season in order to become fans. Phillies had over 120 consecutive sellout games, most in the majors. Not very bandwagon there.

And I wouldn't say Texas is all about the bat when they start off with cliff lee and their 3rd pitcher shut down a high powered offense. Cj Wilson is supposed to be really good but was proved he can be hit by the yankees. It's gonna be another tough series for the giants to win. More power to them if they can pull it out.

Justin... totally agree. I was at target day after the game and I honestly couldn't count how many people had brand new giants gear on. I was laughing. Everyone loves a winner.

Philly fans are hardcore about their teams.

Why is bandwagonism such a concern to folks? I like my team - nothing will ever change that. Why should it bother me that other people who know nothing about the team now enjoy their success? I like my team and if other people wanna start liking my team, so what?

Everyone's gotta start somewhere. I've been a giants fan all my life and i could care less if the neighbor down the street just now figured out who Tim Lincecum was.

Now...Let the TORTURE commence! I will be at the Public House this Wednesday as early as i can. Come out and support the team and enjoy the game...IT'S THE WORLD FU&#'N SERIES!

couldn't agree more. I will love the giants and would go to their games even if they had 50 win seasons and I would still love them to death, but at least when they win theres new fans being born and I'm sure some of them will stay die hards like my self and others

San Francisco is a great baseball town with a deep baseball history:

Mays, McCovey, Marichal, Cepeda, Bobby Thompson's shot heard around the world, the Alou brothers playing the outfield together, The Catch, Bobby Bonds, Candle Stick, Humm Baby, Will Clark, Kruk and Kuip, Jon Miller, the '89 earthquake series, Barry Bonds' and the '93 team, Matt Williams, Jeff Kent, the '02 series, KNBR, Ralph, Gary Radnich, Martie Lurie

Lot of history, awesome stories and some crushing times. If we'd won the series in '02, I truly believe i'd be a different person. Would i trade all this for a title, hell no. But it sure would be nice to get it this year.

I love that people are talking so much **** about fans these days, its kinda pathetic. i have gotten so much of it for just enjoying watching the games. just because i was not a fan when i was 4 years old, does not mean i dont care. so all of you who make fun of 'fair weather fans' or band wagon fans, just remember you all watched the World Cup and the Miss American Pageant...

so, to thread jack, AND since i don't classify as a "hardcore fan" and have been called a "fair weather fan", I am selling my 4 standing room only tickets for Thursday, Game two at AT&T park. Yes I am selling them for way more then they are worth, 500$ each. I have tuition to pay! Anyway, let me know...
