Im down for a meet, but im in Crescent City, I know the group in medford started meeting one day a week regardless of how many showed up at sonics parking lot. It started out small and then now there are around 20-30 imprezas on some meets. So all it takes is just some planning and eventually the word gets out! I actually get tuned next month! Woohoo! With my new VF37 twinscroll cloned 20g setup on pure 8k JDM love! haha, almost a complete Ver 7 JDM Sti (minus the motor and trans since they are Ver 8) with alot more Oomph! Only thing left really is to save up some more money and get the Brembo's, R180, and the Sti Blue Carpet and Ill be DONE!

The engine bay need some touch-up paint, and I am still chasing down a couple bugs, but hopefully this time next weekend I will have around 400 at the wheels on 104

I can think of a few decent places in Arcata to meet but it sounds like Eureka would be a more centralish location. Too bad I hate the place. Any ideas?

My knowledge of Eureka is limited to thing's directly off the 101 corridor...like the food court at the "mall". The downtown boardwalk area would be cool other than the rather limited parking.

Sunday through Thursday evenings are my favorite. Week days tend to be harder for folk with real jobs but my Fridays and Saturdays tend to be consist of other activities that aren't condusive of driving.

Sorry, spaced out on this thread for a couple days.

How about Target, or the parking area by the Harley store? Both are on the very North end of Eureka as you start into the SUPER SLOW corridor. There is also Redwood Acres although it is a little off the highway...OR the back area at the Mall. The later may be best.

For me it will have to be Friday - Sunday as I work Monday - Thursday, and I get enough driving in then >

How about a week from Sunday? THat would be February 7th. I should be fully tuned by Saturday, and that gives extra time to adjust to returning to work and school, etc.

I can do that Sunday if its in the evening after the Super Bowl. Target or the Mall works and Redwood Acres is just off Myrtle. I do like places with food though =P

My vote is Mall followed by Target.

Sunday the 7th works for me. It might be better to meet on the side of Target versus the mall, but its up to you guys; there's a lot of room there, and the parking lot isn't littered with scary homeless former clients of mine...oh wait, Target is across the street from the Mac, so I take that last statement back. Omg, I can't get away from them.
Can't we just meet somewhere pretty, in the redwoods or something? Like by the duck pond in sequoia park, in that little parking lot down there? It'd definitely make for nicer pics-but if its in the evening the park will be closed by then, so maybe that won't work after all.

I don't like the idea of the mall.....simply because im afraid of some ******* seeing several nice cars and keying them if we go inside to eat....call me crazy but its the first thing I think of.

Can we preliminarily say February 7th at 7pm or 8pm?

It sounds like Target isn't a horrible bet but I'd also consider the new Big Pete's Pizza location in Eureka. It's on 5th street and Myrtle on the north side of town along the 101 corridor. I think it has a decent sized parking lot that's well lit. Open until 10pm and while the pizza isn't great it's relatively inexpensive.

Even 7 PM is way too late for me. I have to be up at 4:30 Monday-Thursday morning for work. Keep in mind the strong possibility of rain...so somewhere to hide would be a good backup.

I am not really worried about people keying cars...this is Humboldt county, not the city. But maybe I am just naive I am more worried about harassment from the cops, but then again I am pretty heavily modded at this point.
