Hmm... I think I'm going to write a lesson plan about the International influnce on contemporary art, along with current social-political issues, using Mr. Gee as the primary example

Are there any other published critical reviews of your work that I can read?

Yes I am serious. I have to write a few Art lesson plans this next week, I figure I might as well make at least one of them contemporary, and it can cover quite a few parts of the California Visual Arts Content standards for Public Education depending on how I write it.

1.3 Research and analyse the work of an artist and write about the artist's distinctive style and its contribution to the meaning of the work.
1.6 Compare and contrast similar styles of works of art done in electronic media with those done with materials traditionally used in the visual arts.
2.6 Create a two or three-dimensional work of art that addressses a social issue.
3.1 Identify similarities and differences in the purposes of art created in selected cultures.
3.2 Identify and describe the role and influence of new technologies on contemporary works of art.
3.3 Identify and describe trends in the visual arts and discuss how the issues of time, place, and cultural influence are reflected in selected works of art.
3.4 Discuss the purposes of art in selected contemporary cultures.
4.3 Forumulate and support a position regarding the aesthetic value of a specific work of art and change or defend that position after considering the views of others.
4.5 Employ the conventions of art critisism in writing and speaking about works of art.
5.3 Compare and contrast the ways in which different media (television, newspapers, magazines) cover the same art exhibition (This one is hard to find something to use with...)

There's a bunch of stuff listed in the pr0n section of my site (www.huckgee.com). Just feel free to skip the Press Democrat article. It has a ton of inaccurate information in it. If you need anything else or have any other questions... shoot me an email at info @ huckgee.com.

I guess the kids aren't too young to explain why the object of their lesson is "a convicted felon and drug trafficker", or will that subject not come up????

Thanks. Ill go over as much of it as I can tonight. I'll probably have a couple of questions so I can include a personal interview as a part of the assignment, something that might help students relate to the topic in depth.
