NASA runs general. Its basically the same as the trackpedia layout but you don't go out wide and hit 7a

I'm not sure I understand why you guys are saying general. General has no specific course map layed out... it's just the full track map. This does not show a particular course.

It doesnt go 4a to 7a. I run nasa too. you should be able to find it on the nasa site. It also doesnt run 8a -9a. YOu will run the carosuel (turn 6)and run it hard til you hit 7. Usually if you are new to HPDE you have to run with an instructor in your car if you are running with nasa. SO there is very little chance you will screw it up. Plus they cone off the areas you cant run. On turn 7 if you are really awesome like me. YOu can get your front right tire on the gator and whip yourself around with your tires pointed straight so once you get off the gator your tires are already straight and you can book it. Also be careful on turn 2 if you take it too fast you will pry slide off the course or spin out like mad. I have seen the pro drivers do it many times. I am usually in lower end of 3rd gear right there and by the time you get to turn 3 you should be back up to speed. Let me know what weekend you go up. It be nice to see some i-clubbers up there. I need a new helmet.

2 and 10 in my opinion....10 not so much with HPDE though, highspeed so most people go easy on it cause consequences are higher than almost any other part on track. when it gets ugly there...it gets ugly

NEXT QUESTION:

I'm planning on an HPDE on a weekday and I'm driving up that morning from the SOUTH BAY (san jose). Google maps estimates 1.5 hr drive up via 880.

WHEN DOES TRAFFIC START? What should I expect on the road (traffic)? When should I leave in order to arrive by 7:30?

Not turn two. You have to be a retard to destroy something in 2 by yourself. 8 & 8a for sure. 10 always. Exit of 6 in the rain. 3a if you run out of road. I picked a car out of the tires in front of the flag stand at the top of 6 once. that was gnarly.

It also doesnt run 8a -9a
Every configuration runs 8a.
