How much do you think I can get for this laptop?

Hey guys,

I have a Fujitsu Lifeseries C2220 laptop, and I'm going to upgrade during the summer to something different. How much do you think I can get if I sold it?

Here are the specs:

2.4ghz Interl P4
256Mb Ram
40Gb Hard drive
ATI Radeon 32Mb
14.1" display, with a max resolution of 1600x**** (reason why I got the computer)
Every kind or port imaginable

I've used it for a couple months, but it was always my second computer so it's in great condition.

Hate to say it but Daniel's about right, I'm sure you paid a lot more for it and an upgrade is probably going to set you back a couple grand, but laptops depreciate faster than american cars.
You might get bidding up to 600-700 on e-bay, but 500 is about the most its going to get in a want ad or used computer store

you guys are on f*cking crack!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Laptops dont lose value that quick, this was good stuff last year.
There are not many laptops for cheap that can do that high of resolution, I wanted one like that but decided I could deal with 1024x768 on my mobile computer.
Now go look at comparable IBM thinkpads on ebay:

In my opinion, eBay is like the Kelly Blue Book for everything other then cars. The going pricese you see on ebay are a very fair price to follow.

now Peter and Daniel, you guys need to do some homework. ;P

A Fujitsu Lifeseries is not an IBM thinkpad.

The Fuji 2200 unit you linked to has twice the memory and half again the hard drive and its going to sell at noon today for 880.

Like I said he might get a little more but trade-in or used computer stores aren't going to give you much over 500, if he's looking for a quick sale that will be about it.....

And remember, I bet that >50% of laptops that "sell" on ebay are either deadbeat bidders, or scammers trying to pay with a ukranian cashiers check.

Thanks for the insightful information guys. I guess I'll just have to sell it to a relative, so atleast someone gets a good deal.
