Well just wondering what you guys paid for your used sti's. I've been seeing some on craigslist for reasonable prices. I wonder how much they're going for at dealerships too. Anyone care to share?

bought my used STi back in sept of last year for 26,000- the seller wanted 27500-
at that time i was a finance mgr for subaru... i told the guy that i could buy a brand new one for 27.. hence my offer for 26. the book values are still pretty strong on used ones... try www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com also.
if you can log in to www.manheim.com that website will tell you what dealers are paying for them at auctions nationwide....

If you look around i-club, nasioc, iwsti (formerly imprezawrxsti), you can find very resaonably priced used STi. Most recently, I noticed an 04 with 15K miles, all stock, selling for only $23K - lowest price I've ever seen on an STi. There are many STi owners selling their very new car at much lower price than blue book these days because the traget buyers are limited. If you search around, I'm sure you can get a great deal.

used from a dealer i think they ask way too much. from a private party they will have trouble getting the price they want so you might have to wait for them to come down but they will have to.

i got my 04 with 7300 for 26.5k

They wanted 34.5k to begin with.

It was from Cypress Coast in Monterey.

There were quite a few people looking at it and the only reason I got it is because my sales guy seemed to really be itching to make the sale. All of the other people were working with other sales guys.

Ouch that is about 8k loss in a year (if that).

I have considered selling my STi to get a Forester or an Outback XT.

But not for $24k
