I agree. Nothing for recent college grads. I graduated just over two years ago with a science degree and I all I have to show for it are temp jobs. What a waste of time that was going to school!! Not to mention the money it cost to do it. Friends of mine that didn't do anything past high school have had full time jobs making around 60K/year. They still have the jobs, too. I'm the butt of their jokes now. They look at me and say, "I'm sure glad I didn't go to college."

chances of getting hired at in N out is a lot less than getting hired at McD's.
and plus, i thought McD's hired at 7.25
ditto on everything thats been said. been lookin for a job for almost a year now. gets frustrating when they call u back for a second and even a third interview and they tell you they like u a lot but decide on going with the person with more experience.
why did they even call me back if they pretty much knew who they wanted.
anyways...got another interview tomorrow. hopefully i get this one.

i was laid off from the dot-com that i worked at in July. i've been looking for a job moderately hard since then, and haven't found much. nothing in the way of what i was doing, all of those positions are either full, outsourced to a foreign country, or downright gone down the drain with the company. anything available wants more experience than god, Einstein and Linus Torvaldis combined.
so tommorow i'm going to go check out a bartending school. i figure its gotta pay better than being unemployed, and it sure as hell ain't a cube farm.

The stories about how hard it is for recent grads on this thread is making me re-think my plans w/ school and work. I currently work full-time and go to school. I'll be done by this summer and was actually thinking of quitting my job to make sure I graduate by this summer (full-time school + fullt-time work = miserable life
)
Yet, in the back of my mind, I'm thinking whether I should stick it out at work and prolong my graduation until the end of this year. It doesn't help that I've been working for the same place for 7 years now and I am really wanting a new work environment.

p.s. Good luck to all that is up for interviews or looking for work.

My job is ok. Some days I like it, other days I hate it. The grass always seems greener on the otherside...
