We ended up going with a Syrah Rose from Paso Robles - it's light, fruity, and has decent acidity to go with bbq-type stuff, but not too sweet. I guess a nice light pinot would've gone well too.

Very nice. I would have gone with a 5 year Chianti. But that's just me.

Whenever I give myself a day off I usually cook for myself and the wife. You'd think i'd be tired of it by the end of the week.

Check out the thread I started in BAIC regarding the cook off in august... Sign ups are being taken until we get 15 teams filled, after that we wont be taking anymore people. I listed the rules and such too.
