Im just wondering cause mine is going in again for the 3rd time in 1yr and 3mo of owning the damn thing, and to top it off I just got it back yesterday from repair. I plugged it in and hooked everything up anticipating some long awaited gaming, and it wont even turn on ........lame . So Bay Area how many times has your 360 gone in for repair?

yeah this time i got them to send me a re-built one and for the inconvenience they're also gonna give me a xbox live vision camera. so i guess ill just have to see how long the next one lasts. hopefully longer than 1 second lol.

Had mine since launch and I'm on my 5th I think, at least 5 maybe 6, kinda lost count.

 

mines never broken and I was really early. cd drive is sure noisy as well as hd................you think im going to bite the dust???

No you'll probably be covered as Microsoft is well aware of the cheapness of the xbox, they definatly slapped that **** together as fast as they could. And my cd drive was super noisy the first time it died on me. Red ring first then av output died and when i go it back the power input died.

 

Same with one of my friends.

so far, my 360 doesnt get that much play anymore, since i got bored with DiRT and Transformers was essentially been worn down... lol...

 

Well my launch 360 died after 2 years (video card no display) so I took it back to Costco for a full refund. So I went to Gamestop and bought the Elite with 2 games for $50 cheaper than I had paid when they were brand new @ Costco how every many years ago that was.

Right away the excitement fizzeld when I learned my BRAND NEW ELITE had frame rate problems with the video card. Of course Gamestop doesn't let you take back ANYTHING if it is opened. I mean I asked it if it was not broken before I opened the box but it never answered.

So I am on my third because they just sent me a brand new Elite. Well now that I am back home andn hopefully DONE with my car until next winter I will go grab my copy of GTA4. I could have gotten the 360 version but I did't know my 360 would come back so quick. I love both systems but I do prefer the 360 elite controllers (way lighter than the white 360 controller) compared to the PS3 sticks
