I'm at 150 miles by the halfway mark. I drive fairly aggressively but most of my miles are highway.

Well let's just say I never get 140 by halfway mark. I was expecting at least 150...but never ever got that, even during that 2k rpm shift every time.

With a full tank that was almost emptied today, just hit about 203 miles.

My best yet was 336 when light came on. Long road trip, some full throttle short blasts. I think the WRX is sensitive to stop and go and idling. When I use the car only for commuting (always stop and go, terrible 880 traffic morning and night), I notice I usually am at around 160 miles at 1/2 indication on gauge. And of course, it depends on how I drive it. I think the worst tank went in 260 miles, this was combination of commuting and long full throttle, high load runs 4th, 5th gear.

Problem is, this is not a 1 time thing that I noticed a day ago. This has been happening ever since I've gotten my car. I started to get a little suspicious after hearing people are getting over 150 miles around the halfway mark, with me never getting above 140. Granted, I drive almost all the time in the city, but comon, 130 miles, 16 mpg with 2k rpm shifts? I've stayed off boost except for 1 or 2 short duration wot. Other times I've averaged 110 miles doing 2.5-3k shifts. Something just doesn't seem right here. Averaging 14-16 mpg doesn't come close to the 20/27 that Subaru has on the sticker.

You do have to realize that the sticker gas mileage is in somewhat ideal conditions. Not many cars can achieve what is stated on the sticker and I do not know anyone who has achieved what it said on the sticker regardless of which car they have. I do understand your frustration, since you are getting worse mileage than even our real world numbers. If you are that concerned just take it to the dealer and voice your concern. What else can you do? You would have to take it to the dealer anyways to get it fixed under warranty.

I'm not mad or anything, I apologize if I seem like it I know I'm being a lil paranoid, but the boss has cut my hours, and I have little money to spend, even on gas I just want to know if there's something wrong with the car, that's all

What kind of tires do you run, and what tire pressures? That can affect things a lot too.

LOL no sweat dude, just trying to give some advice, sorry if I seem lectury (sp? is that a word). It just seems as though it might be a subject that not a lot of people can answer, without knowing some details. Don't worry about being paranoid, I am too, and probably a lot of us are. Let us know what you find out though, it would be a good reference in case it ever happens to anyone else.

Sup Marshall, heh my mileage is pretty damn bad too. Too much city driving for us. I get like 180 - 195 for the 1/4 tank, not sure on the half tank cuz I don't usually check til 1/4 left. Friend of mine in a messed up RPS13 240SX gets like 12mpg, so I feel good

There's your answer right there, city driving kills fuel economy. I guarantee if you were to do almost all highway you'd get numbers closer to what people have posted here.
