How to get to the coast from SJ?
What's up yah. I was wondering if there is a direct shot over from SJ to hwy 1. Map quest says too go up to 92 and then back down (shooting for pescadero beach, which is directly to the west)
I know woodside is also a possibility, but there looks to be a few roads farther south that cut over from 280.

you can always go up hwy 9 to 35 to 92 to 1.
Or...
hwy 17 to bear creek road to hwy 9 to 236 to Jamison creek to empire grade to pine flat to hwy 1 in daven port.

Do you want to just get to pescadero and not drive through the mountains?
If you want mountains go through Saratoga to highway 9 and make a right at 35. Thats the open space in which you can take nice pictures etc.
Then either make a left at Alpine Rd or La Honda rd, both turn into pescadero creek road. From there you it goes to Pescadero obviously. The simplest way is 237 to 85 to 280 north then hmb 92 then left at highway 1. Might take the same amount of time and is boring. HMB to Pescadero can take a long time if you don't utilize the dotted yellow line.

Just want to get there quick. Don't mind if I need to go through the mountains of course
iS 35 skyline blvd?
How about page mill road to skyline? There seems to be a road that runs directly to pescadero

Since its memorial day and not a weeday, I think all ways to pescadero are going to have traffic. I'd just take saratoga (highway 9) and drive 35 (skyline) route. Not much traffic once you get to the top of 9 as most make a left or go straight at the 4 corners.
The easiest and fastest way is 92 to highway 1, on weekdays that is. The 92 route is offen backed up from the base to hmb quite often on weekends.
