step 1, sit in your car with it idling
step 2, count to 30
step 3, turn off the car
step 4, return the turbo timer and use that money for something useful.

I got an easier one.

When parking, drive slow to let the turbo rest then so you don't even have to wait.

It's not a hard install.

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disasemble the steering column shroud.
3. Tap into the ignition harness with the y-shaped wiring harness that you should have bought with the Turbo timer.
4. Plug the Turbo timer into the free end of the wiring harness
5. There will be one wire that is supposed to be wired into the emergency brake switch (you'll need to pull apart the center console)

Recommend disassembly of the steering column shroud, center console (from radio to armrest) for you to make a clean install.

Some turbo timers will have extra wiring for knock sensors and such....they are up to you if you want to wire them in (this usually entails jumpering off of the ECU, unless you are 100% sure you know what you are doing...I would leave these alone.

What timer did you get?

Also try www.scoobymods.com

A search for Turbo Timer install should get you a few ideas of where to install, plus a few how-to's.

What year car do you have and what model of turbo timer do you have? I can lead you through the turbo timer set up for 02-05, but 06 I'm having a bit of trouble with the ECU pin outs even with the PDF I bought.

Step one.... Open turbo timer...

Step two.... find a very tall building....

Step Three... Throw turbo timer off building...

Step four... Take pictures of the aftermath

Step five... post pictures in this thread...

Subaru's are gravity fed turbo's, they don't need turbo timers... So you don't need one for a mechnical stand-point... If you want it for the 'bling' then it's rice....

Ok, the 04 is different. Undo the bottom portion of the dash on the driver side, look above the fuse box area and you'll see the security box. There's a dark green wire/black wire you have to snip.

Note, that is not my photo and it comes from the link given below.

Remove the glove box on the passenger side, there should be a security module up top, remove it so you can get to the wires, I believe it is also dark green and black, snip that.

Refer to this link for photos and for detailed instructions:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ighlight=timer

After that, I would give it a try.
