How do I edit my Profile?

I didn't used to THINK that I was stupid...

but I just spent 10 minutes trying to either edit my profile, or create a new user ID with more acurate info...

No joy.

This MUST be a doable thing, right?

There is a "user options" button on the profile page, but it just leads me to a page that says that I don't have permission to be there.

Good "car"ma and a free pizza to whomever straightens me out.

first
make sure you are logged in
go to the "home" section and log in
then go to the bottom of the page where it says "Profile"
then there are bunch of stuff in there you can edit
is this what you are doing?

Hmmm

I don't see a place to log in...
but
I don't seem to be able to log out!

It says "cookies cleared"when I try, but when I go back to the forums, I'm already logged back in.

ANYWAY... I DID get to the edit-page, but I don't seem to be able to change what I want to. I guess I need a new user ID.

To explain: my car was totaled about a month ago. I now have a new Subie. I'd like a name that reflects the change. How do I go about acomplishing that?

Thanks to Daredevil for his prompt help. No fault of yours that I couldn't make use of it. Care to try again?

go to the home page, click the log out link. Then hit "back" and click the register link. If you are still signed in, go to your history folder and manually clear your cookies.

if you've changed your email address you'll probally have to click the link they sent to your new email address or old email address one of them don't remember. because when i changed my profile around i had to kinda reactivate the account. hope this helps.
