How to clean Suede

I been trying to find a tested answer.

has anyone ever tried to clean their suede seats in their STi?

they arent suede

a damp cloth is what I use

what is the material called then?

also, i heard some ppl use Prestone dry clean (the red can) and it worked.

i believe the material is called alcantara.

as far as i know its synthetic

Its not alcantera either, its just a textured fabric. A damp towel works fine on it.

I'm the owner of the deer killer STi. (search for it if you haven't seen the pics) Use WD-40 on the carpets and then a mild carpet cleaner to remove the solvent smell of the wd. to clean the escaine seats. you can use either windex(with amonia) or you can use a very very light weight suede brush and a small water bottle to mist water onto the area, not soak.
