Hey Pete,
I am really interested in joining the Saturday drive, but I'm down for the Revels @ 5pm in Oakland. Would it be okay if I just peeled out of formation at some point, so I could get back in time for the show?
Jane

P.S. this is presuming my car is out of the shop by then ... clutch/tranny work AGAIN !!

well tim it would be a sad rally if only the two of of showed up. If that's the case maybe we'll just hit up a pub or something and play some darts. Oh, but the kid will be with us.

I only hope your child realizes how cool of a father he has. Taking him on rally and such. How long till he starts drivibg himself? and will he be a chip off the old block.

Well folks, after all my boasting, I'm not sure I can do either. I love my job but it's still retail and that's the last weekend before Xmas...

He certainly seems to have some of the traits of my chipped block. Unfortunately they are not necessarily all the good ones. He won't be driving for a 1 to 2 years yet so that's time to sell the WRX and buy a 1973 Vista Crusa' :-)

No, not really.... I'm hoping my good influence will prevent him from driveing like an @55hole so it will be safe to have a sporty car sitting in the driveway.

I already gave him a lesson up on some dirt road near Lassen. Its amazing how uncoordinated a first time driver is. The whole thing is kind of scary. At least he isn't interested in motorbikes.

Okay. So the Saturday route is the TSD you wrote for the SCCA in April? That will be fun!

Fingers crossed my car is out of the shop.
