Well, there's 80 less cops now, thanks to the city budget.

Perhaps we can IMPORT the Chinese labor - including the law enforcement officers whose attitudes match hers. It would solve overcrowding in the prisons, since the criminals wouldn't make it to trial.

Sometimes Makarov's aren't enough to get the job done, so...
(For gh0st shad0w: these police are guarding an elementary school because of the recent rash of stabbings)

Nice,

Though my point being, firepower means nothing without the will to use it, I dont care if every cop on every street in the U.S. walked around with M4s, you will never.

Never.

NEVER!

See a scene like that in the U.S. where a cop will run up, put one to the face and three to the back of the dome to a perp like that.

In this case, the amount of firepower is academic. Its all about the will to use it. They have it, we dont, Makarov wins, end of story.

Whats that old saying? About a hit with a .22 is better than a miss with a .44??

That's a really good point. The finest of tools is worthless if it is not put to good use.

It's a Type-79 SMG. Fires the same round as the Makarov.

Nice thing about any questions regarding Chinese small arms is that you can yell out "It's a Norinco!" and be right 99% of the time!

(That Makarov that the lady cop used was probably a Norinco Type 59 if I were to guess -- the "Black Star" as it's known colloquially in Cantonese)

Ah yes, I meant Tokarev. I always get those Ruskie pistols mixed up. But yeah, that 7.62x25 has some bark to it. I fired an old CZ pistol chambered for that round. Sounded like a freakin .357mag.

Oh man, I agree 100%... The Mak wins in this case because she actually used it and didn't have to fear the backlash of the media or fear a jury on a count of murder or something incredibly ridiculous.

There have been times in the USA where I have seen SWAT snipers take out a perp by shooting the gun right out of his hand! Of course that isn't the same as shooting the suspect repeatedly like the woman in the video did, but the said sniper had orders to take a shoot to diffuse the situation and he took that opportunity to shoot a gun out of the hands of an abductor (much like in the video). I really wish I had a video to show you guys of that exact situation but I can't find it... I know at least one of you has seen it! It's always broadcast on those cop shootout shows... Basically some guy threatens to kill himself and SWAT snipers are given the order to shoot the gun out of his hand if they are presented with the perfect opportunity, and one sniper gets that chance and does it... Cops then move in and cuff the suspect and no one is hurt. Pretty damn amazing and ballsy on the cop's behalf!
