Horror Story DO NOT ever go to this shop.
Han's Auto Repair & Service - San Jose, CA
Went in for a simple bushing press and this is what I see.
Got recommended since the same part was pressed in here before and yeah.... No other places were available to do it at the time either.
They replaced my LCA with OEM parts at no charge although I got stranded in SJ for the night luckily Mark was willing to let me stay at his place but, I get the car back and on the way home, clunking starts. I haven't been able to find anything yet but it's definitely there........ Updates to come.
My Yelp Review
I go in Friday Afternoon for a bushing to be pressed in, recommended by a friend who went here previously for the same bushing on the same car. They say 3hrs Im like alright cool, come back to see the tech air hammering my lower control arm to get my bushing out...... After observing for a few minutes, although the job should've been completed by now I say no, these are not going back on you've ruined my arms. The tech throws a fit saying I have to pay to get those fixed etc etc, the owner Han comes out and says I'll get you a new OEM set tomorrow and put them back on no charge I said fine. Ended up having to stay at a friends house because I live out of the area and had no way of getting home. Call a few times and finally at 4:30 PM I get a hold of them and they're like come down were done. I check everything out seems good. Drive it back to my friends no issues so far, but on my way home on the freeway, I start to hear a loud metal on metal clunk...... I got under the car once home to see if I can find the cause of this was and I cannot find anything yet. I wil try again in daylight and see again but seriously I would NOT take your car here. Everything seems like a hack job and I will be reporting to BBB about my case. Extremely frustrated customer here.

but that third review with the mini sounds pretty bad
except i finished reading it and the person sounds crazy.
but the other details Heedz told me about the shop would make me not want to go anyway

Well I still think the shop should get more credit for replacing everything with new oem part free of charge immediately.
Most of the work done was merely cosmetics, it looks bad but most of it was probably the bushing sleeve itself, nothing structural.
This would be an example of online purchase where you call someone a scammer for late delivery even after they attempt to access and fix the situation.
Also read the review, most people who bring their cars into a shop do not know anything about their own car, how would changing the oil on the car (break the car unless there was no oil to replace the removed oil). Should read that person's other reviews haha, just plain crazy!
BTW hide, the clunking could be from other things because your bushing is fixed it is not vibrating something else (it could be the infamous subaru endlinks clunk =D) Welcome back to cars with good bushings haha

The owner I kind of had to convince to change out the stuff and the tech was being a total dumbass with me. Ask Trevor.
Highly doubtful its endlinks, the clunking would've been immediate.

Yea that mini owner just didnt know anything about cars, thats why they didnt know how to do their own oil change. Same with the mechanic, they didnt know how to do a proper oil change on a mini either.

So the clunk was a stripped endlink nut, got a replacement in there today after dream machines and the clunk is gone. Calling the shop tomorrow first thing in the morning to see what they say about that too.
