Big Trak

Jesus Christ

I havent seen that piece of **** in like 30 years

Sorry but I guess Im still a little pissed. The reason why that thing came and went in just one year was because it was the WORST case of pre-pubescent blue ***** that the toy industry ever dumped on kids in the early 80s. It was one of those now common full court press attacks the toy/videogame makers do before christmas to convince kids that this is going to be the piece of **** that will change their life forever. Hell just look at the commercial, the god damned thing looks self aware!!

yeah I got one of these when I was a kid for christmas, I ****ing begged for it! What theY dont show in the commercial is you had to spend forever trying to learn how to programm the damn thing, then 5 minutes programing it for exactly where/how far you wanted it to go...for about 10 seconds of actual movment.

My little brother wisely asked for a remote control car which he could move in any direction and for as long as he liked at any moment he felt like it. Oh and it was cheaper too.

The first week after christmas he would make fun of me by driving circles around my Bigtrak as it would stagger out my laboriously programmed 10 seconds of glory.

**** YOU BIGTRAK!!!

seriously, I can see how now this would have some sort or retro/novelty value to it, but back when I was a kid, this vs a real remote control car would be like today having to choose between a mouse for your computer that you move freely, or a program that you had to painstakingly type in the exact movements you want your pointer to move on the screen to get it where you wanted it to point.

And oh yeah, it was twice as expensive as a mouse and took at least an hour to learn.

**** YOU BIG TRAK!!!!

Holy **** since you guys put it that way maybe you're right. I tried a friends out when I was a kid and I thought the programming was fun. And now I'm a comp engr.

But you're right. An rc car would be more fun. Haha.

Damn I wish you coulda told me that when I was a kid. This was like one of those "u fulfilled" top toy wants I had. Haha.

Sounds rough Jeremy. If only your childhood was as good as mine, and you had received The Animal.
"The Animal, the Animal, can anything stop, the Animal!"

(BTW, I had the yellow one on the right)

inside big track, there's a computer, computers are a bit like our brains. That's the thing inside our heads that we think with. And it's thanks to the computer that we can tell big trak what to do.
