Honda Parts?

My friend drives a del sol and wants to improve the handling.

In my experience, Honda buyers will sell everything and buy everything -- this includes cut springs, brakes that look good but don't work, and "coilovers" that are really just bumpstops (but have a nice drop ).

Anyone know of a good, cheap, reputable Honda parts dealer?

Thanks in advance.

honda-tech and superhonda both have pretty good access to honda vendors.

You might try modacar.

Shoot depending on what you want you could get some of what you want from some of our I-club vendors.

What are you looking for? I used to be a honda head and still post on honda boards from time to time to straighten out the ricers.

lol

His brakes are the size of a personal pizza. They work for about 5 seconds, then they fade. I want him to have something larger, but nothing like brembos. Something of similar performance to stock WRX brakes.

I imagine a set of bushings (like energy bushings) would do wonders for his high milage car.

Also, something like AGXs and strut tower bars might be nice (I presume that strut tower bars actually work on a del sol -- considering it flexes pretty wildly without a roof).

Thanks for the tips guys

You'd be amazed at what better rotors/lines/pads/fluid do for hondas.

But yes...GSR is a good upgrade. ....do front and rear though.

as for strut bar...for the front I'd go neuspeed or benin. They're solid. Multi point and not rediculously priced...i.e. mugen. but honestly...it's not gonna make that big a difference on the delsol>

if I were your buddy I'd get a good spring strut combo...like neuspeed/koni. upgrade the sway bars. upgrade the breaks. Then worry about strut bars.

a good guy to talk to about suspension in regards to del sol's is Phantom_Sol on superhonda. PM him..tell him I sent you...I have the same name there.
