I've read recently of quite a few people running these monster front bars and smaller rear bars... even stock rear bars.

Seems ridiculously stupid to me but I like my cars to handle a certain way. I guess the theory is turn in. I guess for Auto X it would make sense but for daily driving and track use I just don't get it.

goes great with the 50mm rear bar, better yet just weld your shocks solid and make your car a solid axle go-kart

Looks like what The Joker beat Robin to death with in the comic book.

Yea we get a lot of customers that want a 27 front and a 22 rear. This set up sucks on the street im sure, but for back and forth transitions in autox they say its great.

That's gotta make the car act even more like a front heavy inertial pig than it does most of the time anyway... Never having done autoX, i still would assume you'd want the car to be able to maneuver and not plow head on into a bunch of cones while understeering...

27mm front and 22mm rear for AutoX? Are you sure?

Most of the guys I AutoX with run a LOT bigger rear bar than front. I actually run a stock front and 28mm rear to promote oversteer, that definately sucks for street.

A heavy front bar does make for a snappy steering response, but with a 5mm difference on a subaru will make sweepers and other turns HELL.

Locally we tend to run heavier bars front and rear, but still tend to go much heavier in the rear to keep the cars balance towards oversteer when going around turns or sweepers.

The Strano front bar is made exclusively for cars running in SCCA stock class where rear bars are not allowed to be changed, only front. This allows much better response at the wheel, and then once has to figure out ways to get the car's rear to be snappier without the use of a bar. Usually done through alignment settings like lots of toe out.

Thats what I say too. You sure you want that???? Some Classes I guess you can ONLY change the front bar so the only way to really compete is to run a huge front bar and the guys in the other classes copy them i guess. For DD I recommend the exact opposite. Big rear/smaller front.

Hey I run a big front bar and a little rear bar.......but I run stiff rear springs The theory is that the big rear bar holds the rear inside tire up in a turn(bad for rear diff).

Oh i've run the strano too (still have it actually) and it's hollow so it's not a true 32mm. Some other guy was making a solid 32mm...now that's a bit over the top

I bought my car with a Cusco RSB (whatever that is) and no FSB and it is sooo oversteery. I mean its fun, but not as fast since it scrubs a lot of speed once you kick the rear end out, so you have to keep a good slip angle or whatever the terminology for that is.

Flying over on/offramps is scary, so im sure a track day wouldnt be so hot for my current setup.

But RSB+205 tires+rain+trailbraking=teh max fun!
