Smile Holy Crap! I went swimming with my phone and it still works!!

I went swimming with my phone on Sunday and when I got out of the pool it was dead. I was pissed....but just for the hell of it I ended up taking the battery out, let it dry all day outside and now it works!

Amazing!

yeah, actually I've had a couple of friends' phones do that when we "accidentally" push them into the pool.

Technology is amazing these days...

especially how the iPhone has an indicator in the headphone jack that changes colors when it gets wet

It was an accident! Walked into the pool and was in there for like 10 minutes before I noticed.

You got the iphone eh? I want one of those. I was actually considering paying the early termination fee to get one before my phone dried up. The cheapest phone at verizon was $150 as I wasnt eligable for an upgrade.....I was thinking I might as well switch and get the iphone instead of buying a new verizon phone at retail price.

Oh well, Im glad my cheapo phone still works, I'll get the 3g iphone or new blackberry phone in a year or so.

Yeah, my ex had a blackberry and my dog ate it, I had to replace her phone at full retail price! She didn't want another blackberry but its not like other AT&T phones were much cheaper

I think as long as you renew your contract for 2 years you can get the 2 year pricing. So, something like the W755 is $20. So, unless you want something extremely fancy like the LG Dare, then most phones aren't over $150.

I'm cheap and didn't want to have to upgrade my plan and pay for internet per MB or get the unlimited plan. Other than that, it looks like a badass phone.

We usually pickpocket the phone of the person being thrown into the pool. Helps them not be butthurt about the whole ordeal.

I know I'd be pissed if someone drowned my $$$ costing phone because sometimes the carrier insurance coverage wont cover a drowned device.

last summer out at the lake my dad dropped his phone not knowing it. my bro and his friend took the jet ski out for at least 30 mins... came back and handed my dad his phone. He was like "where did you find it?" my brother says "i stepped on it as i was parking the jet ski". so we let it dry with the battery out and it still works to this day..
