thermite is a type of explosive that once started, burns slowly, and is impossible to reverse ( i.e, extinguish ). they filled a flower pot with it, set it on the hood of a car, and then ignited it. within 10 seconds, it burned a molten hole through the hood and engine block, to the point where you can look straight down and see the ground.
i say we find out where we can source some, and buy Daniel a pound for Christmas

sweet!!! now all i have to do is find a wrecked car, preferably white, and French
Thermite is super fun (and potentially dangerous... which is why it’s so much fun)
Back in high school, I made some with a buddy and our Chemistry teacher for extra credit. We put it in a supposedly "high temperature" crucible over a beaker of water on a lab bench. It melted straight through the crucible and fell into the beaker of water... it pretty much vaporized the water and the beaker exploded. We also burned some holes in pavement in a nearby parking lot as well. Good stuff.
I think the French resistance used the stuff to disrupt **** supply lines back in WWII. They ignited it between a stationary transport train's wheels and the track... welded them together!!
