Only $5, Im planning on going...ug 2 hour drive though.

if you are taking your wrx, with the re92s, i recommend you wait a couple weeks or so more.

trust me, there was a time in my life where i went there once or twice a month for a year.

right now, it's a little muddy means even SUVs with a mild tread pattern on the tires will be in trouble...

Look what i found.

So whos down for finding the green circle fireroads?!?!
If we find that the fireroads are gonna rip our bumpers off, we can always set up our own rallycross on the donut lot. And if we happened to get kicked out for any reason, there are some cool roads for filmage.

Marina autoXat the end of OCT so i might just go to Hollister Hills super early, before the autoX or super late like 3-6 after the autoX.

Or i could just dedicate a whole day to it, im sure it will be fun. Im tired of getting kicked out of dirt roads by farmers with shotguns. And if the 4x4 part of Hollister is as nice as the Dirtbike part, than it will be a dream.

Ive driven there before in my GTX and my friend had his Toyota 4x4 but the place was reserved for an enduro dirtbike race, so you have to call first.

I went soon after I read this thread. At stock ride height, it was fun but I dont think I would take my wrx there again (lowered on prodrives now). At stock ride height I was bottoming out left and right.

The greens are fun to drift around but there are lots rough patches/ruts. I went on 2 blues and that was gnarly! I was at some of the hills I climbed being so close to areas where I could roll down the mountain.

Thats awesome, you have any trail pics or cool rally turns? so how agressive/fast were you bottoming out?

im sure we could spend all day on the greens if you went up blue squares . I just want a few smooth turns. maybe some that link up that are smooth, rough spots are ok.

You know, just spots to session and go back and forth. Also for filming to so it doesnt have to be a smooth as glass run.

so its worth checkin out? no speed limits off the main road, rangers give you crap?

Dont bother with Hollister 4x4 unless you have a rally setup! its bumpy all over, no one way trails (at least not for green circles) There are really cool roads, one smooth one going back with a few nice turns, but they are two-way traffic trails. Even if they werent im guessing a ranger would give you crap.

But if you have a 4x4 OMG this place is heaven! so many rutty areas, rocks, everything you could imagine.

i didnt bother with the blue square trails, i gave up 2 hours of dirtbiking just for my skidplate bashing adventure, haha no blame on anyone either, it was fun to check out.

i have been dirtbikeing there 2 summers ago and me a buddie took his stock z71 in the trails, we only did like 1 blue but it was awesome seeing so many huge hills and dirt trails that you are ALLOWED to drive on.... i dunno about going in a suby, i dont think your really allowed to be drifting around the turns plus we didnt find many smoth spots to be "drifting" around either
