Hitting animals!!!

well..I hit my first animal last night. Some of you say...soooo...but hey. I'm insanely sensitive..it's really got me ****ed up.

My girlfriend and I were fighting a bit over me working too long on my car. So I headed over to her house to make amends. I succeed and talk her into going to dinner with me.

On the way out of the drive way what do we see.....her cat. She has a few but this one is one of the sweetest cats on the planet and one of her favorites.

I ****ing hit it on the way into her house and it was sitting there dead looking me right in the eye. I loved that thing.

Sorry...call me what ever...but it was pretty messed up to have my girlfriend literally in hesterics and know it was my fault. And it tore me up pretty good last night. Very sad.

I loved that cat. Suki. RIP.

So let me get this straight...

1. You get into a fight with your gf
2. You head over to her house to patch things up.
3. You accidentily run over one of her favorite cats pulling up into the drive way.

Wow. I feel for for you man.... I don't want to BE you right now... but I feel for you. Sorry to hear that. You're gonna be in the $hithouse for a while, man. Good luck.

I haven't hit an animal yet, but I came really close to hitting a bird once and I completely freaked out. I always hear people talking about hitting animals and laughing about it, and I just want to strangle them. I don't understand how they can be so cruel.

I have hit an animal before but it wasn't in my car it was on my motorcycle, it was a dog. I felt bad about killing the dog after I got out of the hospital. I'm a pet lover/owner, so I think the worst part of your story is that you knew the animal and loved it.

I'm feel for you man...take care

So sad...

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I hope you find a way to make it up to her (after the mourning period).

Go to the local Humane Society, and adopt another one. Make sure it doesn't look like Suki, but let your g/f choose. It'll be saving a life for the one you took. I adopted Pumpkin (2 time return to H.S.), and he's my son. I love seeing him every day!!

I ran over a gopher/prairie dog/big hamster, it ran across the street real fast right in front of the car and went right in front of the tire when I did a slight correction to try and avoid missing him. He was toast when I turned around and found him on the road, I think he went quickly.

A rabbit tried crossing the road in front of me at night one time. It was really late out and I was driving down the highway at speed with no street lights, just my headlights. I must have just clipped it because all I saw in my rearview mirror was the rabbit spinning like 100 mph. Luckilly the car behind me didn't hit him. I just barely caught sight of him before the last car's headlights moved past him. He ran off into a field never to be seen again.

That's really bad karma, you'd better volunteer at a children's hopsital for a while.

I feel your pain though, if anything hapened to my cat I would go irrate

Talk about a crappy day, damn. Just remember it wasn't your fault so don't beat yourself over it. It's not like you were gunning for the animal accidents happen.

Banger...talk about bad karma.......Suki was ALL black.

My girlfriend is bummed....I'm bummed. It was really sad. Suki's sister is Saki. They were never more than a foot apart....I watched the cats run in front of my car...3 went by. Aparently Suki was behind. Found blood on my rear wheel well..she must have popped out right in front of my rear tire. I was going mad slow cause I nearly nailed her mom's cat angel like 100 feet up the drive way. They live out in the country...7 cats.

We spent about 4 hours going from pet store to pet store...to the shelter...etc. saw like 10 black cats. a couple really cool dogs. Just bummed man.

I really don't get how people can't be effected when they hit animals. I know I am directly connected and it was a lot of factors but I can admit it...I went back out to my car about an hour later..after my girlfriend calmed down and locked myself inside and just lost it. Really messed me up. Didn't expect that to happen.

Yea it's hard to lose an animal. **** I was upset when my guinea pig died a year ago I still feel bad about it.

If I were you, I probably wouldn't try to replace suki right away. I don't know, I guess if it were me I would probably regret it later on.

Sorry for your loss and good luck
