hills by the dunbarton bridge

are the hills on the east end of the bridge man made?

Are you talking about where the quarry is? Part of it might be man made, as in the dirt they excavate that they don't use they might stack up. But for the most part that's all natural.

There are also ancient native american "shellmounds" under some of those, so they aren't all "natural"

i just thought it was strange for there to be hills right on the water. i go bicycling out on the alviso marina and always see them standing out and they just dont seem natural
