Highway 85 vibrations

Is it just me or does highway 85 between 17 and up to 237 have this uneveness that's makes your tires hum in a thrumming vibration sound/feel?

Thing is, you can't visually see the unevenness... so I'm wondering if it's something up with my struts or something.

I definitely feel some kind of tracking effect on 85, between 280 and 17, but nothing much heading north towards 101/237.

Maybe it has something to do with directional tires and drainage lines in the road that run parallel to the direction you're driving?

they resurfaced 85 around saratoga and cupertino to reduce noise for the neighborhoods. you can hear the difference when you're driving. right around where 85 and 280 meet going on 85 south, it gets a lot quieter in the car.

My friend came here to visit from Germany, as we were driving through that area he got all freaked out thinking the car broke or something... I laughed and told him I was jealous of the German roads which are like driving on perfectly flat ground.

Of all of the weird things about 85... you complain about the noise? Doesn't anyone else catch air when they go over a bridge on 85? (or is that just me?)
