I've had bad experiences with cheap HIDs, to prevent further frustration, I just took them out and put my stock ones back in. Eventually I'm going to buy either a Philips or a Hella kit. I'd say stick with those 2 brands as they are the companies that make the OE kits for many different car manufacturers.

I have the Brightstar HID kit. So far I've been very happy with it. The lighting is better over stock but I have them in JDM headlights so the beam is off a little. I bought it used and it's been in my car for the last year or so. I have my lights on all the time (yes even during the day ) and recently one of the ballasts went out. Emailed Brightstar Taiwan and within an hour I recieved a reply, and every other email after that was replied to within 5 minutes! They gave me a number of a local retailer in milpitas. Drove there and he gave me a new ballast no questions asked. So within 1 day I had my kit fixed and I wasn't even the original owner.

The guy said the prices on their kits have also gone down and locally he could sell them for $260-280 i think. He is in Milpitas.

Have you had any problems with the relays? The kit I have, the relays have been going out every few months, which is a pita, because it means I have to mail it to them and be w/o a headlight for ~ 1 month. What temp kit have you been using?

Which kit do you have? The kit I have didn't come with relays, most kits actually don't unless it's built into the harness. The brightstar kit I have is an older version but it came with the bulbs, ballasts, and ignitors. Everything is seperate so you can split up the pieces. Aaron and I made a harness for my lights that uses 2 relays and wires up to the battery directly for power. Never had any issues with the relays, just normal ones you get at radio shack.

I got it used off of an i-clubber but it was a Blesk kit that is supposed to be a Hella revamp. It was made by proXenon.
