Where can I get magnetic numbers for my car? I am sick of using paper everytime.

There's a guy at the autoxes that sells them pre made. Ask at the tent and he'll probably be close by. I think what most people do though is go to TAP Plastics and buy a magnetic sheet. They're really cheap, you just have to create a template, draw on the numbers and cut them with scissors (the stuff is really easy to cut). Cost ya maybe $15.00. TAP Plastics has a number of stores throughout the Bay Area including Mountain View.

5.95 a foot (30 inches wide?), avalible in white, or white. You can special order white if you want it.

Print out your numbers with your computer in whatever font/size you want. Spray adhesive your numbers to the magnetic sheet and cut away all that which is not your number.

I mail-ordered the set I have now. Cost a bit more (about $40 total for class letters and numbers) but came out really nice. I got the numbers I run ("94") plus a couple of extras ("1","8") and class letters ("STX")......with 2x on all of them. Lots of fonts to choose from, as well as colors.

Don't have the link in front of me, I'll try and find it tonight.

Well, the numbers I got were $20+ worth of magnetic material (it adds up faster than you think) plus another $20 worth of stickers (minimum), already applied and cut. For me it was worth it, considering how much I use them (a LOT) and that the painted ones won't hold up worth a damn (in my experience). These ones should last for years.

In other words, I have enough things to worry about when autocrossing. Whether or not my numbers will "work" shouldn't be one of them

Liar, there's at least $1000 worth of stickers on that car. They're so heavy they're slowing you down. Take those freakin' things off and you'll go faster. ... ahhhh where's the devil smily when you need it?
