I was watching the news and they had a story on how a few restaurants, in the bay area, are trying to fill tractor trailors with supplies and then sending them to the relief. There is a lot of money being donated but it would make their job a lot easier if the supplies were already gathered. I was wondering if anyone else wanted to help these groups out. I think this is a great opportunity for us to help out with the relief and show them how strong the i-club community is.
heres the actual article and link:

"• Fill a tractor trailer -- Dudum Sports and Entertainment is partnering with various vendors to ask the Bay Area to join them in an effort to provide relief for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Each of their restaurants has an 18-wheeler parked out front. Bring nonperishable food items, blankets, bottled water and can openers to the following: McCovey's Restaurant, 1444 California Blvd., Walnut Creek, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., 925-944-9444; or Bing Crosby's Restaurant and Piano Bar, 1342 Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., 925-939-2464. The truck, donated by Young's Market, Southern Wine & Spirits and U.S. Food Service, will be driven directly to relief stations in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama."
Not that it should matter but nasioc already has a rally or two planned. Maybe one of our local shops can host a rally. Just a idea.
