I was watching the news and they had a story on how a few restaurants, in the bay area, are trying to fill tractor trailors with supplies and then sending them to the relief. There is a lot of money being donated but it would make their job a lot easier if the supplies were already gathered. I was wondering if anyone else wanted to help these groups out. I think this is a great opportunity for us to help out with the relief and show them how strong the i-club community is.

Each of their restaurants has an 18-wheeler parked out front. Bring nonperishable food items, blankets, bottled water and can openers to the following: McCovey's Restaurant, 1444 California Blvd., Walnut Creek, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., 925-944-9444; or Bing Crosby's Restaurant and Piano Bar, 1342 Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., 925-939-2464. The truck, donated by Young's Market, Southern Wine & Spirits and U.S. Food Service, will be driven directly to relief stations in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama."


Not that it should matter but nasioc already has a rally or two planned. Maybe one of our local shops can host a rally. Just a idea.

they are trying to fill up the tractor trailors before they take off. i plan on dropping by friday to mccoveys restaurant at walnut creek.
