Smile Help Support New SF Skatepark!!

San Francisco is closing in on finalizing the plans for a new skatepark. They have enough money for the skatepark or a basketball court. Show your support by e-mailing Rich Hills ( rich.hillis2@sfgov.org ) from the San Francisco city planners and let him know why a skatepark is needed.

Awesome, just emailed for ya! Funny thing is it looks a dead ringer for the southbank in London which while not a dedicated Skatepark certainly looked like the designers worked for New Deal or someone at the time (Early 90's).

I rise to amend to the main motion to read: "Make SF piers identical to SF piers in Tony Hawk Pro Skater"

Definitely e-mailing as well Matt. Remember the good times skating EMB, "The New Spot", the piers and other spots back in the day but they all always got shut down. The city needs a legit spot for skaters.

yeah man i remember when i use to just go to Pier 7 and skate with no worries, but when they put the metal pieces on the ledges it really hurt the skateboarding community in SF! Hell the embarcadero was just like a big skate park...

Great News! From http://www.thrashermagazine.com/inde...3541&Itemid=77

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT

We just got a call from City Hall confirming that San Francisco will be getting a new skatepark. Newline Skateparks is finishing up the design and construction should start in a few months. Thanks for sending all of the e-mails showing your support.
