Aye two chances indeed. Do it by Trial of written dec. I will assume you won't have to actually pay anything, if you had to pay anything for another 4-7 months.

I am going to try to fight this still with Written by Declaration, hopefully Drew's Rex's friend can help me out. I figure I will get two chances with Written by Declaration. Wish me luck guys!
WTH... Did you get the ticket in the same county?

Counties did not work together even as recently as 4 years ago.

I'm 5 for 5. 0 points.

1st: Speeding, took traffic school. Asked and got fine reduced to less than $100
2nd: speeding, fought, won via Trial by written
3rd: speeding, fought, dropped due to lack of prosecution, Trial by written
4th: Speeding, took traffic school, asked and got fine reduced to less than $100
5th: speeding, took traffic school (diff county), got fine reduced to less than $100 (SAME CHP COP as ticket #4, but different car, 32 days apart)

Fought a really ****ed up red light ticket my cousin got in Milipitas. Took video efidence that the yellow lights times vary, and also for a 7 Lane intersection, the yellows where MUCH too short... lost that one.

Fought a stop sign ticket just 2 months ago for my cousin.... ****er hollywooded it, and I chewed him out, and against principle, I did for him anyways with trial by written. He won, just got his check from the court in the mail last week.

So, I'm 6/7...

But if counties are sharing a database, then, yes, you will have a tough time. But any commissioner has the authority to give you traffic school but for that, you must plead guilty. If you go to trial (even if written), you attempting to prove your innocence. Just know that they may shoot you down right there.

You best argument is that the officer pulled you over, and you were NOT speeding, and that the officer was mistaken because cars around you were going SLOWER than you, and you APPEARED to be going faster. This is why the officer, on the ticket wrote 60+, since he is NOT SURE what exact speed you were actually going, and for that you request for your citation to be dismissed.

That would be my play, it's, in my opinion, the only play you got.

Mr. Xevious: No where on the ticket said it was radar verified. In fact, he wrote down as part of his note that he paced me.

Thanks Gagan, I will go with a defense on the line of that you mentioned.

As for the traffic school, my last ticket that I took traffic school for was in Berkeley (Alameda County), so it should not be the same county as SF Bay Bridge, which is San Francisco county right?

If they are different, I am not sure how the court clerk went in the computer and pulled up my last ticket date and told me I was ineligible.

Well, half of it roughly is SF, but other part is alameda. Which court did you go to for this one?

I bet their systems are all central now, so, they probably know what happened in every county.

I went to the County of San Francisco Superior Court on Bryan St. I think that might be the Alameda part since it is closer to the Alameda side of the water.

How do you go about getting your fines reduced to under $100?

go to court, plead guilty, and ask for fine reduction (student/part time work) and traffic school.
