All I can think of is like people have said already and it is a bad ground. Did you check all the fuses under the hood and make sure everything is tight everywere? I also would check wires behind your headunit and where ever you have spliced wires for open connections or possibly completely split connections? Any Vampire taps or anything installed?

Didn't think I saw that you did this in the thread. Have you already gone to Autozone and had your battery tested? I think that's what BruceLee said? You were having battery issues before ya? Might as well double check

manhands and buzzword were on the trail!
so today at 10am we began tracking down this bug
the symptoms were
check engine
abs light
no hi beams
no low beams
no speedometer
no mileage readings
fan constantly on
code p0502
safe mode activated (rpms cut at 4k)
fuse 18 behind coin tray was constantly blowing out
well after uninstalling EVERYTHING i had added (boost controller, stereo, amp ect. ect. ect)
and going through the wiring harness associated with fuse 18 with a fluke (multimeter) we tracked it down to the harness going to the security module under the center cup holder in-front of the e-brake.
turns out i had cut a wire going to the security module so that i would be able to activate the stock alarm while the turbo timer was counting down (per scooby mods DIY) well that wire had about 1-2mm of strands sticking out of its jacket and had wedged itself against a bolt.
basically it was a power wire that hand grounded out and like buzzword had noted, the
subaru wiring harness is like a spider web so even though it was a wire to something that basically is NOT ACTIVE when the car is running it caused other systems that webbed through that section of the harness to go ape SHTI
AWH WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we also noticed a sweet smell under the hood and found the cars water pump is weeping so that will have to be address BUT THATS BESIDES THE POINT! HAHA
