Help! My cruise control!

Ok, ever since i bought the car (99RS), i have never used the cruise control. I tried using it like a couple of times last week but it would not work. I even read the car's manual and did everything as described but it still would not work. Anybody have any ideas what i can do?

Check the horn, does the horn work?

On my car the cruise control and the horn both stopped working, the dealer replaced the wire loom inside the steering wheel. My car was still under warantee at the time, so it was free.

Doesn't the cruise control go through a relay? It's under the fuels box inside the car. You could check that by switching with the fog light relay and see if it works.

Also check your vacuum connections. That's what powers the cruise control solenoid. It's common for the 3mm hose to split at the connection and stop working on many cars.
