Help! identify the annonying sound
Okay, i have had this sound for quite some time. It's a clunking sound that i can hear once in awhile coming from the rear wheel wells. What do you think it could be? .. it doesn't happen often .. and when it does, it's usually when im going low speeds and going over a minor bump in the road ....
if you have aftermarket struts (shocks) then check around the top hat, it is probably the main nut on top coming loose. I had the problem on my car
if not, then its wheelbearing

STi stuts are the suxorz. Eventually they will stick and hang up a wheel resulting in 3 legger turns.
it is easy to check the wheel bearing. lift the car up and try to move the tire back and forth. spin it in a circle and feel for rough spots.
my wheel bearing was easy to diagnose. my whole wheel moved in and out 2 inches
i still think its suspension tho
