Help with Dual Monitor Wallpaper.
Hey guys,
I got a 20.1 inch widescreen the other day that is not next to a 13.3 wide laptop monitor. The wallpaper is the same for both monitors. I was wondering if anyknow knows how to configure it so that I can have a different wallpaper on each monitor. Thanks a bunch. My friend's Mac does it so well.. grrrr..
I'm running XP Home.

You can make 1 file with 2 images on it. At work, I use a file that's 2048 x 768 with 2 images that are 1024 x 768 side by side. Set it to "Tile". Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

haha.
I do like Macs..... but i'll stick with my computer.
Right now my 20.1 inch is the primary. I can make a big image, but the resolution on the screens is different... 1680X1050 on the big and 1280X800 on the other... How would that work?
What's active desktop?

Try the same method I mentioned but with these changes:
- 1 file with the dimensions of 2960x1050.
- Make the main image 1680x1050 and the second image 1280x800
- Align the tops of each image
- Save as new image.
This might work.

Google for Ultramon and download it. Very useful multi-monitor utility. I've run three Dell 20" LCDs in the past and it made setting up desktop wallpaper a breeze. You can use a separate image for each display or have one that spans multiple displays.

very interesting approach, but is there a "soft" way to get two wallpapers?
